Which ESCs compatible ?

Postby Dju » Wed Jul 02, 2014 9:21 am

Hi,
I have really big big problems, I bought 4 ESC32, 3 of them burnt and I don't know why...
But more important, Viacopter and Flyduino don't have ESC32 anymore... so I can't change my components.
Do you know If I can use other ESC controlers with a AQ board ? And if there is a positive answer, which one I have to buy ?
A friend give my 4 Opto 15A E300 but I don't know if I can use them with AQ board...
(And if you are interested, I posted photos of my model, and explaination of what I did to try to understand on this forum why my esc32 passed away, but ofr now, I don't have solution..  )

Thanks and have a good day friends :D .

I have not had a MCU on a ESC32 stop working but if they are getting hot they are burned out. Reverse polarity would cause this.

These ESC32 are cheap copies of the AQ ESC32 and are not supported on this forum.

Many SimonK flashed ESC will work with the AQ board.

I'm sure that I connected the esc32 with the right polarity.
Thanks for your advice, I will buy some SimonK.
That's a good choice http://www.electricwingman.com/tiger-mo ... simonk-esc ?

If I'm right I could use that ecs with the simon-k fw ( because I can't see if there is a ftdi connector to flash other thing that the smon-k fw) on the aq board without using ubec between the aq board and esc ?! what's better, connect the pwm +5 and gnd to the aq board or connect them to a lipo ?

Your choice of ESC has a BEC 5v output.
You must be careful to not input 5 volts into the AQ board.
I do not connect the ESC 5 volt wire to the AQ board.
You can buy 6s ESCs that are known as Opto and they have no 5 volt output.

Thank LArry, that's what I did, I just put the sng wire on the AQ board with my ESC32, but they burnt out as well.

I use a 4S lipo, some maybe http://www.multiwiicopter.com/products/ ... ulticopter could be better for my quadcopter. Dou you agree ?

or maybe I can use this one http://www.electricwingman.com/tiger-mo ... simonk-esc without the 5V wire and gnd wire on the aq board ?

I have 4 15A Opto E300 with Moteurs brushless 920Kv, I maybe could use them with the aq board ?! But I think I could be too much with the 4S, they work with 11.1vand 14.8V.
