Info and Discussion about the ESC32 hardware and software

Sorry, but I can't tell you very much more. Unless you are willing to get into the code, setup a scope and figure out what's going on, I don't think you are going to get very far with v2's FET braking mode. All ESC development effort is being put into v3.

ESC32v3 calls this mode active freewheeling. It has been throughly tested and is in fact the default mode. Example:

Very very nice.
So the software is different in v3? I tought it was only an hardware improvement (faster fet / driver / higher voltage).
About v2, the only thing I could try to do is increasing the dead time, to prevent high side and low side FET being conductive at the same time, do you think this may solve the problem? At least it shouldn't cause more.
But I'm not a coder, I can build the code myself, but I'll need some help editing it.

V3 is a complete rewrite from scratch. You could play with the dead-time and that may very well be it, but I really don't know.

I'll do some tests when new FETs arrive, but probably it's not that easy if v3 needed a complete rewrite. If it was you and your team would have solved the problem a long time ago.

Any guestimate on when V3 is available? Next month, this summer, next summer...?
