Hi Adam,

Ah, finally, someone using ESC32 with "my" motor. Do you happen to have any GemFan full carbon 11x5, 12x6, or 13x6.5" E-style props? I'd love to get cali data on those. Probably wouldn't be worth sending you any of mine, but I could bring one of each to Hanover if you're gonna be there.

How stiff are the wooden Gemfans? I tried some beechwood JXF electrics, and they have a horrible transition point (where the blade starts to lift) which rattles my workbench and on my coax Y6 setup it will make the 2nd prop vibrate like crazy too. They're beautifully made, very light, and well balanced, but almost unusable IMHO.

Currently I'm looking for suitable propellers to my hexes.
I tested recently RCTIMER Carbon 11x5.
The test came out that 11 "is not enough. Flight time was about 10-11 minutes at 2x5000mAh 4S.
So now testing 12x4, not flown them yet.

Actualy I haven't got any other carbon props.

Next to test:
Graupner E-Prop 12x6. Fiala 13x5.

Wooden Gemfan are stiff, light, good "original" balanced (only minor adjustments by sandpaper) but they have a large surface area.

Take what you have to Hanover. I'll do the calibration.

How heavy is your rig? I'm using 11x5 for ~3Kg AUW (no gimbal/cam), 12x6 for up to ~4Kg (with light cam), and am planning on trying 13x6.5 for up to (theoretically) ~5Kg. With the first setup, I get about 10-12 minutes on 2x 4Ah 4S batteries, 8-10m with the 2nd setup (will need bigger batteries for the 3rd). That's with a coax Y6, so a flat hexa should be a bit more efficient.

I hope they let me bring the props on the plane... they could be construed as dangerous objects

With APC 12x3.8 flight time was about 18-20 min. But APC aren't rigid and vibration occurred.

Just wondering why you chose an advance of 12 instead of the default of 20?

I watched engines at startup and during operation. At higher _advance_ engines not started smoothly.
