There is always something to do, but I would say that calibration for current and timing (advance) is about it. Especially the timing advance can be important. The default is 10 degrees, if the motor is starting without struggling and can keep up with high speed changes the timing is good, if it cannot start or difficult to start the timing it probably to high. If it on the other hand cannot keep up with high speed throttle changes , the timing is too low..
Keep in mind, pancake motors are great but most of them require some sort of extra tuning IMHO
