ESC32 cannot work with APM2 (Solved)

Postby monkey1 » Mon Feb 18, 2013 5:44 pm

I cannot arm the ESC32 thru apm2 low right of throttle stick. PWM LO value 1100, PWM HI value 2000, esc32 keeping flashing even arm the APM2.

I m using futaba radio, pls advice what i am missing?

Maybe you can measure the PWM output of the apm2 and adjust the ESC32 min a bit lower.
Now your radio has to output a value between 850 and 1100 to arm the ESC32.
Does the ESC 32 arm when connected directly to the receiver?

esc32 direct connect with receiver can arm thru the qgc and get the throttle stick respone. however, cannot arm thru throttle stick.

by the way, how is the way to measure the pwm output? i just have general meter.

Monkey

If you have an oscilloscope or a servo tester that can measure a PWM. Other wise just trail and error works. Raise the lower PWM higher and see if it works. Than lower the setting as far as you can and still have the ESC32 working with your PWM source.

Finally, i can arm the ESC32 thru APM2. After measure the APM2 PWM output (futaba receiver), i got the value 1101.1. Then i put the PWM LO value to 1110, esc32 armed. Below is Settings for APM2 flight crontroller.
