QUAD 750 monoblock

Below is shown my new project called "monoblock" because I´m using single pieces for clamping the arms on the central plate. This is an evolution of the HEXA 777 3Dprinted (see other post on that)

Motors are RcTimer 5010 with 15x5 propellers. Battery 5000 4S, IMHO the best combination for endurance
ESC32 in between central plates.

Rest of appendages are manufactured with 3D Print. Attached is also the 3dXML file for you to play with (free viewer from here: http://www.3ds.com/products-services/3d-xml/1/)

I love these monoblock designs. I think they are the way to go for all multirotors.
The beauty is that this idea extends neatly to even X8 or Y6 configurations

I like this design the most. So simple and elegant.

Maiden Flight

Yesterday i performed succesfully first flight. Used fw version r220 (modified with Waypoint Live Recording) with deffault parameters.

No issues at all. All worked fine. Veeeer long fligh time: not meassured yet in detail but largelly overpass 20min (batt 5000mA, 4S)

To comment only the yaw behaviour, very "lazy" when flying by hand. On auto flying it performs yaw overshooting (see attached video). So, need some tunning on that. Rest of params were OK.

To increase the yaw reactivity, what parameter to touch?. I think this lack is due this combination. I´ve used only in hexa that was also a bit lazy but not so much like now with 4 motors.

Clean setup, (almost) no wires, looking good.

btw: what about the temperature of the ESCs - do they heat up?

not at all.They have quite a large open areas all around. Also this combination doesn´t demand so much current.

For manual yaw : CTRL_MAN_YAW_RT, that defaults to 60 deg/s so that is indeed lazy (6 sec 360 deg).
