Thx, folks, for your interest!
I have the design in CATIA using parametric dimensions; that is, simply by changing one dimension (for instance, the tube diameter) all the design is automatically updated for that. So, it´s very easy for me to do other drawings, with other tube dimensions, servo attachement, etc.
Attached are the originals drawings in pdf and svg formats (for CNC cutting machine)
Please, feel free in posting your personal setup and I´ll do the drawing for you.
Angel.
PD. btw, I´ve designed a V2 retractable system, even simpler and cheaper, based on the known "servoless retractable motor"
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... retractablIt´s working also very well! . See this video:
Compared with V1, there are some pro/cons for both :
- price and weight are close the same. V2 it´s a bit simpler to build. V1 is much nice
- V1 has still an open point: with "legs up", the servo is working all time (gets a bit hot, and draw some current, not too much). Latch in "legs down" is better than with V2
- V2: legs must be fully vertical in "legs down" to react the landing shock directly to the axis: don´t like. The fixation/torque transmision to the motor is only by friction in the axis: M3 bolt highly torqued. Don´t like too much.
