My new AQ-HEXA 800 class, cheap yet hi-performance

This is to present my last project for AQ: an HEXA 800 class with several goals:
- as cheap as possible, but still keeping high performance
- light
- simple construction. All custom built

Attached are images and data of the result including BoM (Bill of Materials). Main hilights are the following:
- first of all: IT FLIES LIKE A CHARM!. Soft, easy and very silent fly.
- 22 min flight! with a 5000mA,4S
- Frame cost: 114€, propulsion set = 132€ (full details attached)

Other technical details:
- Deffault pid´s except for alt hold (slighly tuned)
- 1.5 Kg empty weight
- using last ESC32 parameters sugested by Bill for this motor/prop combination (attached file).

Whats stability like with some wind?

With light-medium wind it's a bit worst than small propellers, but still very good. For winds>15knt starts to be more problematic, but it keeps flying.

Very good looking Hexa, Angel!

Flight time is great - but the legs look like they provide enough room for a gimbal, right?
What are your plans camera/gimbal wise?

btw: Im currently rebuilding my Hexa to carry a DSLR. Will swing a Sony PJ650 first and later a GH3 ... maybe.
Im fed up by the GoPro - will keep it for quick aerial shots but will use the Sony for Vids. Will post some pics later.
With the GoPro mounted on the big Gimbal it looks like someone forgot to attach the cam.

You know: I´m aeronautical education so, weight is "the big" enemy to fight.

The legs in previous images are a bit large, but they are provisional. I´m working in a retractable landing leg system with same criteria (simple, light, cheap yet good performances). Only needed two standar servo and a few cf plates and bolts.
It´s now under testing, and working great!. See the design below and a short video attached.

Nice design.
Maybe it would be good to move the servo to the arm. You would have less weight to lift and a cable thats not bent all the time.

Image below show your idea implemented. It has the advantage of remove weigth from mobile part, but is less modular to install/remove from copter leg. I´ll test to see and will report results.

I am looking foreward to see your results.
One more thought: When thge gear is down, it shold "selflock" like the airplane retrackts. Otherwise you will have the whole load on the servogear when landing.
