Is the PLA or ABS. How thick did you made ​​the horizontal motor plates and weighs as much of the complete plastic including ESC holder.

First check if the holes match. And yes they match. Its huge compared to the hexa.

Still a Long way to go. But winternights are Long.

Hard to get sleep with that project

The "pyramid" was first intended to separate the GPS mass from the FC. But now I am not sure if the FC will be to close to all the wiring. Whats the average distance you monunted the FC on your octo X from the centerplates and wiring?

The leg mounts really turned out very light. Lets see if they are sturdy enough. I love Angels retract though. Lets see what it finally will be...

My FC is 3cm abouve the power distribution which is between the centerplates.
I did not use the distri from the FCP-HL plate, just made a thick solderblob over all wires.

I used a big solder iron and a large blob for quadcopters. While the solder is warm I press the blob flat. I use insulation between the two blobs and twist the wires all the way up to the plobs.

On the octos because of my large center plates I have power wires solder in to a loop and wires coming off the loop for each motor and for the two batteries connections.
