Accuracy in Hold position?

Postby plexus » Sat Sep 08, 2012 2:34 pm

News owners of AQ, could you said to me if the accuracy of the Hold position is good. The choice of the FC is not done.
I am balancing betwwen the AQ and the YS-X6.
I want to get the best stability in hold position. That is my goal.
I am not the best in software but only a little bit better in hardware of electronic systems.
An other thing, I am afraid by the the use of the GCS for PC. Not you ?
What do you think of all that ?
Thanks for yours answer. :)

Hello Plexus -

I do not have experience with ths YS-X6 and only 6 weeks with the AutoQuad.
Setting up the AutoQuad requires patience and care in calibration and set up. The YS-X6 seems more like a Plug & Play system if that's what you are more comfortable with.

Regarding "best stability in hold position" - what conditions do you expect to fly in? Calm or windy?
Have you seen some of the AQ videos?

Thanks Gofaster,
I know these Videos and also i known the time to get good results. It is not a problem for me. I like to build and I am curious. But I am 70 years old and the brainstorming begin to be difficult !!!
The adventure with AQ could be very pleasant.
With YS-X6 my feeling with plug and play is not my cup of tea but if the result is better than AQ, why not.
That is why I am in an awkward position !

I understand.
Perhaps someone who has direct experience with both systems can comment.
Building and setting up an AutoQuad copter has been a fun learning experience for me and I am impressed with what it can do.

Regards,
- Felix
