Oh Joe...
May I ask you politely but directly about your motivations to join this project?
After the "solder incident" you were offered an exit: full refund.
Though you seemed highly frustrated you didn't take the chance. First you wanted to give it away for free then you wouldn't give it away at all. Then you plugged in the battery the wrong way - where every child knows what happens next. Frustration again. You were offered an exit again. Refused again. "Repaired" it on your own and again frustration (can't remember why atm.) and wanted to sell it as "better than new". Nobody wanted it and/or you wanted to use it on your own.
Then magic smoke again. Burnt a hole into the board. Now what?
Do you really think you can trust a board that burned twice? You could use it for experimental purposes - but if you're responsible enough you'd never try to get this thing airborn!
And do you really think that anyone around will support your steps towards the next desaster?
If I was you I never would have joined this project.
Sorry ... but I don't get your motivations.
