QGC: Set Home?

So based on what you guys are saying the wiki needs changing:

Point 4: Enter position hold on the required altitude or hit the set home position switch.

Needs to say: Enter Position Hold on the required altitude AND hit the set home position switch. Then turn off Position Hold.

You can set Home Position in or out of Position Hold.

You must be in Position Hold for RTH to work.

What about the Android issue I mentioned?

Landing on a non-landing WP
Audio saying heading to WP1 when it's heading to WP 2.
Not holding specified altitude.

This is a database/query issue in the app, wouldn't you think? It's not writing the correct fields to the AQ. Are there any other reports of these kinds of issues?

Is it possible to regain control for instance at stage 2 or is AQ just performing the action until the craft have landed?
Can I interrupt the Failsafe Event with my remote control?

Fail safe works only in Manual and Position Hold. If you lose your Tx link in a mission, your multicopter will continue it's mission which hopefully ends near to where it started and you have been able to fix your Tx problem.

What about the Android issue I mentioned?

For Fail safe the Home Position is the place you first engaged Position Hold or where you Set Home with your Tx switch. Where home is set in ether ground station does not effect Fail safe.

I always thought it's a little bit strange but in a Mission you will always land at the last waypoint position. Where you place the Landing WP has no effect.

The audio message can be out of place because there is not enough time for it to play when WP are close together.

Not holding specified altitude.

The quality of the GPS signal when you are flying to a WP will make a large difference in altitude control. In general, GPS altitude will vary 3 time as much as horizontal positions.

You do not need to be in Position Hold to use Fail safe although you must have a 3D lock.

When you switch off the Tx in manual mode your multicopter will go quickly to Position Hold and after 20 seconds it will move toward the Home Position.
