OK now that's VERY cool!
The only thing is with the ESC's being so close to the AQ, they might cause interference.

Thanks for your comment and observation.
I will put some spacer to lift up the AQ6 and if it's disturb I will place an isolating copper plate between ESC and AQ6 ;)

That's a beautiful frame, love the folding action! Did you cut the plates and arms yourself? Nice motors... ;)

I have to agree with Felix though, those ESCs are way too close. Raising the FC on long standoffs might give you more vibrations, and a copper plate isn't going to do anything for magnetic interference. But YMMV I guess. :)

I said copper, but after asking my college it's seem to be Ultraperm 80 Metal Shield, a kind of Mu-Metal.
(Sorry for this mistake, I'm more involved in frame and gimbal conception, a freind of mine is in charge for electronics :))

Hey, that look promising. Would be a great solution if it works! There was just some discussion on this subject in another thread... wonder if anyone has tried it yet.

Cheers,

You can by some for cheap money to test it if you encounter some problems.

Here a US Ebay shop:

The problem with shielding is that you block or disrupt all magnetic fields. The ones you don't want as well as the ones that you do.
